(VOVWORLD) - High-end hotels in District 1 of Ho Chi Minh City are fully booked for a five-day holiday later this month, as local and tourists are anticipating the 50th anniversary of national reunification April 30.

Celebration activities include a military parade, cannon salutes, fireworks, and drone shows, which will take place along Le Duan Street, Nguyen Hue Pedestrian Street, Bach Dang wharf and park, among many other locations in the city.
Nguyen Thi Van, a representative from local travel agency, Nice Travel, said, hotels near landmarks like the Independence Palace, Nguyen Hue Street, and Bach Dang Wharf are fully booked, and that include expensive five-star hotels.
Dang Nguyen Minh Trang, Director General at Renaissance Riverside Saigon Hotel, said her company offers 15-20% discounts on hotel rooms. Customers can also enjoy the firework display on the hotel’s rooftop, among many other services, she added: "Thanks to these attractive offers and the hotel’s direct views of the firework display, parades, and other activities, our rooms have been fully booked."
National Reunification Day is not only a time of remembrance, but also serves as a test of Ho Chi Minh City’s ability to spearhead Vietnam’s economic-tourism sector.
