The voters voiced their support for the policy of merging provincial-level administrative units, removing the intermediate district level, and re-organizing commune-level administrative units. They said they believe this reform will make the system leaner and more efficient, promote decentralization and the delegation of power, and enable local governments to take a more active role in governance and management.
Chairman Man emphasized that streamlining the apparatus is crucial to free up resources for development. It will create more room for growth, further simplify procedures, and bring administrators closer to the people, he said.
Mr. Man asked Hau Giang authorities to boost digital transformation, use AI, apply science and technology in high-tech farming, and improve education and training.
