(VOVWORLD) - 570 Vietnamese citizens were flown home from Taiwan (China) and Russia on Tuesday and Wednesday.

On Tuesday, a flight was arranged by the Vietnamese authorities in Russia and Russian agencies to repatriate 340 Vietnamese citizens, most of them students without accommodations because of dormitory closures or other people in difficult circumstances.
Upon arrival at Cam Ranh International Airport, all passengers and crew received medical exams and were placed in quarantine in accordance with health regulations.

The same day, Vietnamese authorities and agencies in Taiwan, China jointly organized a flight to repatriate 230 Vietnamese citizens.
The passengers were mostly elderly persons, pregnant women, workers with expired labor contracts, individuals with an illness or injury, students who have completed their studies abroad, and others similarly disadvantaged.
On arrival at Can Tho International Airport, they are were placed in quarantine in line with regulations.
