Border tensions between China and India have escalated, with China accused of moving thousands of troops into disputed territory. India then deployed 5,000 more troops to the Ladakh region to support its troops protecting the border.
Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Zhao Lijian on Monday said China and India have unimpeded communication channels and he hopes the issue can be resolved through dialogue and consultation.
