(VOVworld) - A Vietnamese delegation led by State Auditor General Nguyen Huu Van recently visited India to promote cooperation in government auditing, accounting and financial reporting.

Van held a working session with Indian Controller and Auditor General Shashi Kant Sharma on Monday. Van told his host that Vietnam wants to learn from India’s experience and asked for the support of India as President of the Asian Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (ASOSAI) for Vietnam’s bid to host the 14th ASOSAI Congress in 2018. Mr. Kant Sharma pledged to provide assistance to Vietnam in personnel training and on technical matters and to support Vietnam’s bid to host the ASOSAI Congress. He expressed his hope that their cooperation will continue to grow and accepted Van’s invitation to visit Vietnam in the near future.
