Mortar shells hit the entrance as visitors were visiting the prison

(VOVworld) -  Insurgents in Syria shelled the central prison near the Syrian capital Damascus on Sunday, killing at least 10 persons and wounding 53. The Interior Ministry said mortar shells hit the entrance as visitors were visiting the prison. The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights (SOHR) confirmed the shelling and said the death toll would probably continue to rise, as many were critically injured.
