IPU Asia-Pacific conference on response to climate change
(VOVWORLD) - Delegates to the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) Asia-Pacific conference on response to climate change made a field trip to Can Gio district, Ho Chi Minh city on Friday. National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan and IPU President Saber Chowdhury were among the participants.

The delegation visited Dan Xay Bridge, Long Hoa commune, which is directly affected by water level rises and erosion. They planted 60 Barringtonia Asiaticais in the Sac Forest Culture Park planning area. IPU President Chowdhury said the conference was not merely a dialogue, but demonstrated a lawmaker’s action to cope with climate change, one of the challenges of the era.
The IPU Asia-Pacific conference on response to climate change opened on Thursday and will run until Saturday in Ho Chi Minh city.
