(VOVWORLD) - Iranian supreme leader Ali Khamenei said Wednesday that Iran will leave the 2015 nuclear deal signed with 6 world powers if it fails to serve Iran’s interests after the US’s withdrawal.

He said the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is a means, not a goal, and Tehran should not hope for Europe to save the deal.
Khamenei said in a meeting with President Hassan Rouhani and the cabinet that Tehran should not negotiate with the US at any level to reach a consensus on the deal.
