(VOVWORLD) - Iraqi President Fuad Masum urged Kurdish leaders to sit down with Iraqi leaders to resolve the current crisis.

In a speech Tuesday on Iraqi national television, President Masum said the Kurdish referendum forced Iraq to take control of Kirkuk province.
Iraqi Prime Minister Haider Al Abadi also called for a dialogue with Kurdish leaders.
