The commander of Nineveh Liberation Operation Abdul Amir Yarallah said the 9th Armored Division had regained control of al-Molawwathah neighborhood in western Mosul and Huwaidrah village north of Badush town. Iraqi troops also recaptured a mill and gas station in the western half of Mosul. Yarallah said the operation has inflicted heavy losses on ISIS and destroyed a considerable amount of their military hardware.
The same day, Iraqi security forces recaptured some districts near Mosul’s Old City, opening safe exit routes for civilians. The forces later pushed into the al-Matahen area, killing 17 ISIS militants.
