Islamic State's expansion has aroused concerns among Islamic countries.

(VOVworld) – Islamic countries voiced their concerns over Islamic State’s expansion in the Middle East at the 30^th session of the Standing Committee for Economic and Commercial Cooperation of the Organisation of Islamic Co-operation in Istanbul, Turkey, on Tuesday. Delegates from more than 50 Islamic countries said that the insecurity caused by IS’s threats was the main problem that blocked the region’s economic growth. Sami N. Al-Saqabi, Assistant Under-Secretary for Economic Affairs in Kuwait, said that the most important factor in fighting IS was cutting its financial resources, which will take a long time.  Mohammad Ismail Rahimi, an Afghan delegate, said that member countries of the Islamic Co-operation Organisation should include security and governance issues in their agenda for the next 10 years to secure a peaceful and stable environment.
