(VOVworld) – Japan and 5 countries in the Greater Mekong Sub-region (GMS) will tighten cooperation in improving the region’s urban environment and pursuing economic growth targets. At the third Green Mekong Forum in Bangkok on Thursday, participants pledged support for Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam in natural disaster mitigation and management. All agreed that cooperation between public and private sectors and the involvement of local authorities are keys to addressing regional environmental issues.
