In his address, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said Japan seeks to close the gaps between nuclear and non-nuclear states, to eventually achieve a nuclear-free world. Meanwhile, the UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres called on all countries to make the victims’ voices heard and ensure Nagasaki is the last place on earth to ever suffer nuclear devastation.
