Japan’s Meteorological Agency warned that if the volcano erupts, it will spew dust and lava to a radius of 3 kilometers. To ensure the safety of local residents and tourists, the administration posted warning signs in Japanese and English in several traffic areas. Mount Sakurajima is one of Japan’s most active volcanoes and erupts almost constantly.
