(VOVworld)-On Thursday Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe said the Japanese government will not change its nuclear policy of restarting nuclear reactors that comply with Japan’s new safety standards five years after the Fukushima disaster.

Addressing a press conference Abe said Japan, a nation poor in natural resources, can’t secure a stable energy supply without nuclear power.

Abe made the announcement one day after a Japanese court ordered a shut-down of two nuclear reactors, which have been confirmed to meet all new safety criteria.
