Japan wants to keep up dialogue with China

(VOVworld) - Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe met on Wednesday with visiting Chinese State Councilor Yang Jiechi, who came to Tokyo for the second China-Japan high-level political dialogue.

The two countries are gearing up for a trilateral summit between Japan, China and South Korea scheduled to be held at the end of October or early November.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Shinzo Abe praised the dialogue’s positive results and expressed wishes to maintain high- level dialogue and contact, strengthening exchanges and cooperation in all sectors as well as controlling disparities effectively. Mr. Yang Jiechi said China-Japan relations' steady and healthy development not only serves to the fundamental interests of both countries and their people, but also vital to regional peace and development.
He called on Japan to abide by the four-point principled agreement, properly handling sensitive issues such as in historical and military security areas.
