According to Ambassador Hieu, this is Prime Minister Ishiba’s first visit to Vietnam since the two countries elevated their ties to a Comprehensive Strategic Partnership for Peace and Prosperity in Asia and the World. This will be an opportunity for both sides to review the progress of bilateral cooperation over the past years and to discuss ways to steer their partnership into a new era of development.

Vietnamese Ambassador to Japan Pham Quang Hieu told VOV that he hopes Prime Minister Ishiba Shigeru’s visit will propel the bilateral relationship and further deepen political trust and the close ties between the two countries' top leaders.

“Through the visit, leaders of Vietnam and Japan can reach consensus on strategic visions for long-term development in the new era. The visit is also expected to yield specific outcomes, including the signing of multiple cooperation agreements, particularly in science and technology, green and digital economies, and sustainable development," said Hieu.
