(VOVworld) – US Secretary of State John Kerry will go to India for an investment conference and to prepare for the upcoming visit of US President Barack Obama, said the US Department of State Tuesday.

US Secretary of State John Kerry will attend the Vibrant Gujarat Global Investors Summit, set for January 11-13 in Ahmedabad, India.

Spokeswoman Jen Psaki said Mr Kerry will attend the Gujarat global investors summit in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, the homeland of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi. This is the first time the US has attended the summit, which has beenbjm held biennially since 2003 to attract foreign investment to Indian localities near the border with Pakistan.
