The draft resolution condemns the Houthis’ provocations and suggests distinct punishments for their supporters. It also calls for a political solution to the escalating conflict and for humanitarian aid which the Yemenis have long been waiting for.
The International Committee of the Red Cross also warned of a humanitarian crisis in Yemen’s southern city of Aden, where Houthis have engaged in intense street battles with forces loyal to President Hadi.
