(VOVworld) - The central coastal province of Khanh Hoa has celebrated the 40^th anniversary of its liberation on April 2, 2015. Over the past 40 years, the provincial authority and people have promoted their creativity and dynamism in socio-economic development. Last year the province fed 720 million USD to the state budget and earned 1.2 billion USD from exports.

Politburo member Ngo Van Du, Secretary of the Party Central Committee and Head of the Party Central Committee’s Inspection Commission, urged Khanh Hoa province to tap the potential of its marine economy. “Khanh Hoa should creatively apply Party guidelines and State policies to effectively mobilize all social resources. It’s necessary to reform the growth model and restructure the economy and public investment to raise competitiveness. The province should focus on its marine potential and make full use of seaports including Nha Trang, Cam Ranh, and Van Phong. Tourism and services should be modernized while promoting national cultural values.”
