Addressing the event, Associate Professor Dr. Do Lenh Hong Tu, President of the Vietnam Cinema Association, said the annual awards received 147 entries in the categories of feature film, drama series, documentary, scientific film, animated film, short film, and critical theory.

The Kite Awards attracts many domestic film studios, including both state-owned and private studios.

“Brilliant Night” directed by Aaron Robert Toronto and produced by the Daylight Film Company won Best Feature Film. The Best Television Series award went to “Coming on a sunny day” by director Bui Tien Huy and meritorious artist Nguyen Truong Khoa and “11 months 5 days” by directors Le Do Ngoc Linh and Nguyen Duc Hieu, who work for the Vietnam Television Film Center of Vietnam Television.
