(VOV) – Shinhan Bank CEO, Suh Jin-won, has been presented with the “For Peace and Friendship among Nations” insignia for his great contribution to charity activities in Vietnam.

Since 2009, the bank has donated dozens of billions of VND to classroom construction and scholarships for school students in Hanoi, Bac Ninh, Nghe An, Ho Chi Minh City, Binh Duong, and Ba Ria-Vung Tau. Vu Xuan Hong, President of the Vietnam Union of Friendship Organizations, praised the contributions made by Shinhan Bank, especially by Suh Jin-won: "We highly appreciate the contributions made by Shinhan bank. The bank has always been very aware of its social responsibilities. The bank’s CEO has visited Vietnam many times in order to give specific guidance in charitable and humanitarian projects. The insignia aims to encourage more international friends to contribute more to charity activities".

Suh Jin-won expressed delight at receiving the insignia, saying he will do his utmost to promote the  bilateral relationship in the future.
