(VOVWORLD) -Referee Ko Hyung-jin of the Republic of Korea will officiate the upcoming clash between Vietnam and Thailand in the first leg of the final of the AFF Cup 2022, with the fixture set to take place on Friday.

The 40-year-old Korean referee has refereed at a number of important championships, including games at the AFC Champions League, the 2019 Asian Cup, and qualifiers for the 2022 FIFA World Cup.
Vietnam are set to play the first leg of the final of the AFF Cup 2022 at home turf at the My Dinh National Stadium at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
Following the first leg of the final, the national team will then compete in the second leg away at the Thammasat Stadium in Thailand at 7:30 p.m. next Monday.
Ko Hyung-jin will be joined by assistant referees Park Kyun-yong and Kang Dong-ho, all of whom are Korean nationals. The fourth official will be Thoriq Munir Alkatiri of Indonesia.
