Kyrgyzstan seeks to elevate bilateral cooperation with Vietnam

Speaking at the meeting, the Vietnamese National Assembly Chairman praised Kyrgyzstan's role in Central Asia and emphasized the untapped potential for enhancing economic cooperation between the two nations. He proposed strengthening collaboration in trade, investment, tourism, transportation, education, and culture to deepen and expand bilateral relations effectively.

Prime Minister Adylbek Kasymaliev expressed Kyrgyzstan’s desire to work closely with Vietnam to elevate their partnership to new heights. He affirmed his commitment to strengthening the traditional friendship and multifaceted cooperation between the two countries for mutual benefit.

He also highlighted Kyrgyzstan’s interest in fostering closer ties with the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) and Southeast Asian nations through Vietnam, while also offering to serve as a bridge between Vietnam and Central Asian countries.

Both sides agreed that in the coming period, their National Assemblies will continue to work closely and support each other at multilateral parliamentary forums, including the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) and the Meeting of Speakers of Eurasian Countries' Parliaments (MSEAP).

They also pledged to exchange views and back each other’s positions on regional and global issues of shared interest.
