(VOVworld) – Vietnam’s first language exchange festival took place in Danang city last weekend to promote foreign language competency among local students and teachers.

The two-day event featured language tests, presentations about APEC countries, art programs, and a performance demonstrating a folk dance of each of the 21 APEC members. Vietnamese students demonstrated foreign languages and foreign students showed off their Vietnamese skills.

Participants watched a presentation about the endangered red-shanked douc langur, which has been selected as the symbol of the 2017 APEC Year.
