The Pasaxon ran a front-page article reviewing activities by the Lao leader on Monday. It came from the official welcome ceremony by Vietnamese NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue to discussions of the leaders of the two parliamentary organizations to tighten mutual ties.
Meanwhile, the Vientiane Times ran an article lauding cooperation between the two legislatures, highlighting that it is the first overseas trip by Mr. Saysomphone since he was elected as President of the Lao NA earlier this year.
Also on its front page, the PathetLao Daily said despite the COVID-19 pandemic, ties between the Vietnamese and Lao legislatures have become far closer, most notably in the building of the new headquarters of the Lao NA. It added that the visit once again shows that ties between the Vietnamese and Lao NA have been increasingly fruitful and effective.
