(VOVworld) – Lao Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong and his entourage had a working session on Wednesday with the Northwest Steering Committee and the Dien Bien provincial authorities. Delegates discussed socioeconomic development, poverty reduction, and solutions to ensure security and order in border areas in north-western region. Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong hailed development cooperation between Dien Bien province and Laos’ northern provinces which has contributed to boosting Vietnam-Lao bilateral cooperation.
Marking the occasion, Prime Minister Thongsing Thammavong laid wreaths in commemoration of war martyrs at Independence cemetery.
