(VOVworld) – Chairman of the Tuyen Quang People’s Council Nguyen Sang Vang welcomed Lao Vice President Bunhang Vorachith and his entourage with a banquet in the town of Tuyen Quang yesterday. Vang said the visit reflects the solidarity, friendship and trust between the two Parties, Governments, and peoples on the occasion of the 3^rd Vietnam Lao People’s Friendship Festival. In reply, Mr. Vorachith said ‘Through this visit to Tuyen Quang province, we’re glad to see your rapid development achievements so far. We realize that the local people’s living standards have improved. Inter-district and inter-provincial roads have been built while agricultural and industrial production has developed strongly. The local infrastructure has been upgraded; children have more opportunities to go to school; and people’s health has been taken care of. This is what we should learn from Tuyen Quang province to realize the goals of the two Parties and President Ho Chi Minh’s wish to reduce poverty and improve the living conditions of both peoples’.

Earlier, at a working session with the Lao delegation, Vang said Tuyen Quang province is ready to cooperate and share experience with Lao provinces, especially in tea and other agricultural production to enhance the Vietnam – Laos traditional friendship.

The Lao delegation has visited the Tan Trao Historic Relic in Son Duong District and the Lao revolutionary relic in My Bang Commune, Yen Son District.
