(VOVworld)— The Laos Propaganda and Training Board launched a contest on the history of Vietnam – Laos relations in the Vientiane, Laos. Cheuang Sombounkhan, Secretary of the Lao People’s Revolutionary Party Central Committee, and Head of the Propaganda and Training Board said:

The Propaganda and Training Board launched this history contest as part of Program that will be held to celebrate “Vietnam - Laos Friendship and Solidarity Year 2012", the 50th anniversary of the diplomatic ties and the 35th anniversary of the signing of Friendship and Cooperation Treaty between the two countries. The contest is a good chance for the two Parties and States to disseminate information about the revolutionary tradition and the special friendship during the struggle for national liberation and national construction cause in each country especially to the younger generationsThe contest will be carried out weekly in both countries in writing and online tests via Internet. And will end in November of this year. The award ceremony is expected to be held in Savannakhet province – Laos.
