Laos will successfully achieve set targets: Vietnam PM
(VOVWORLD) - Prime Minister Nguyen Xuan Phuc said he believes Laos will soon overcome the consequences of the COVID-19 pandemic and successfully implement its economic targets.

Mr. Phuc made the statement at a meeting on Sunday with the visiting Lao Prime Minister Thongloun Sisoulith.
Mr. Thongloun praised Vietnam’s achievements in national construction and development, international integration, and particularly its dual goals of containing the epidemic and restoring economic growth.
He said Laos will continue to support Vietnam as this year’s ASEAN chair.
The two leaders exchanged ideas on a number of global and regional issues and agreed to continue coordinating within forums.
They underscored the importance of maintaining peace, stability, and respect for the law, especially the 1982 UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS).
