Leaders extend Christmas greetings to Catholic followers in HCMC, Can Tho

(VOVWORLD) - Head of the Party Central Committee’s Commission for Mass Mobilisation Truong Thi Mai visited the Archdiocese of Ho Chi Minh City and extended Christmas greetings to local Catholics in the city on Wednesday.

Madam Mai wished Catholic dignitaries and religious followers good health and a peaceful Christmas season and thanked them for the solidarity and contribution of Catholics and Protestants to national achievements over the years.

She said she hopes the Archdiocese’s will work more closely with government authorities to jointly address people’s concerns and develop the city, bringing a prosperous and happy life for the locals including Catholics.

During Christmas visits the same day to Catholic followers in Ninh Kieu district, leaders of Can Tho city asked local dignitaries, ministries, priests, Catholics, and Protestants to further promote patriotism and unity and strictly abide by the Law on Belief and Religion to contribute to the city’s development.
