Legal regulation reviewed for transport development

The questions were about transport infrastructure linkages, automated tolls and delayed progress in major projects. National Assembly Chairwoman Nguyen Thi Kim Ngan asked the government and the Minister of Transport to fully absorb deputies’ comments and ensure long-term efficiency in transport sector. She said: “We need to review and fine-tune transport regulations in line with reality and in compliance with the Law on Master Planning. Transport development has to create breakthrough in regional network linkages and multimodal transport between urban and rural areas. Congestion in big cities has to be tackled.”
Deputy Prime Minister Trinh Dinh Dung told deputies that major projects including the North-South Express Way, and expansion of Tan Son Nhat International Airport should be accelerated.
In the afternoon, Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Nguyen Ngoc Thien answered questions relating to arts and performances, cinematography and tourism development.
