Linking Moscow to new poisoning in UK is absurd, Russia says
(VOVWORLD) - Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov on Monday said Russia was sorry to hear that a British woman had died after being poisoned by a nerve agent, but said any suggestion that Russia was involved is absurd.
Dawn Sturgess, a British woman, has died after being poisoned by a nerve agent. |
Peskov said Russia is deeply worried by the continuing presence of these poisonous substances on British territory and that he considers it a danger not only for the UK but for other Europeans.
Peskov said the investigation and what is happening in the Salisbury area is a British issue which has nothing to do with the upcoming summit between President Vladimir Putin and US President Donald Trump.
