Literature and Poetry Events to take place in Vietnam February 15-21
(VOVWORLD) - A series of events to promote literature and poetry will open in Vietnam this Friday.
The International Conference on Literature and Poetry and the annual Vietnam Poetry Day will take place in Hanoi, Quang Ninh and Bac Giang from this Friday to next Thursday. Tran Dang Khoa, Vice Chairman of the Vietnam Writers’ Association told reporters in Hanoi on Wednesday that 200 foreign poets, writers and researchers from 50 countries are expected to join these events. The opening ceremony of the 17th Vietnam Poetry Day will feature border and island protection and mark the 40th anniversary of the fight to defend the northern border in 1979.
