Mr. Binh attended Tuesday’s ceremony to mark the 20th founding anniversary of Long Xuyen City, 10 years since it was upgraded into a second-level urban area, and its accomplishment of tasks of building new-style rural areas.
Deputy PM Binh asked Long Xuyen City to continue to explore advantages over trade, services, tourism, and design policies and mechanisms to increase investment in technical infrastructure so that it can become a smart urban area and deserve a role model in the Mekong Delta region.
“Entering the new development period, Long Xuyen is required to adopt a new mindset, higher vision, and bigger aspiration to promote its role and position. The city should make full use of advantages over trade, services, and tourism, enhance solidarity, and create consensus among locals to build Long Xuyen into a leading center of the province and the region,” said Mr. Binh.
