Defense Minister and acting Transport Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein said at a press conference on Monday that the militaries of Malaysia, Australia, the US, New Zealand, China, Japan, and Korea are working to find the missing plane. He said that this is a tough time for families of the passengers aboard MH370, reiterating that the families and the government want to see some physical evidence of the plane and its passengers. He added that Malaysia and other countries will continue to search and will not give up hope.

The same day the Australian High Commissioner to Malaysia Rod Smith announced the establishment of a new Joint Agency Co-ordination Centre to co-coordinate operations between Australian government agencies and the international search teams.
