(VOVWORLD) - Voters in the Mekong River Delta have praised the quality of the just concluded 2nd session of the 15th National Assembly, believing the National Assembly's decisions will soon come to life.

Mr. Vo Van Thuong, Head of the Representative Committee of Hoa Hao Buddhism and many voters who are Hoa Hao Buddhist followers in Tien Giang, closely followed the meeting. Thuong said the agenda and quality of the session lived up to expectations of voters. The Q&A session between National Assembly deputies and Government members, the Deputy Prime Ministers and the Prime Minister were frank and responsible, spending a lot of time discussing and coming up with solutions to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic.
“It’s good that our National Assembly meets in-person and online. The Party, State, National Assembly and Prime Minister work hard to revive the economy, deal with the pandemic, and take care of the people. I hope that the Government and the National Assembly will make the economy stable and get the people overcome this pandemic,” Mr. Thuong said.
22-year-old Chon Minh Phu in Hung Loi ward, Ninh Kieu district, Can Tho city, said: “Oversight is one of the functions that the National Assembly is promoting and properly performing its role in building the law-governed socialist State. That will be one of the huge drivers of local parliamentary oversight activities. I believe that oversight will meet the expectations of voters."
