Le Hoang Tai, an official from Vietnam’s Ministry of Industry and Trade, said Mexico is currently one of Vietnam’s biggest partners in the Americas and acts as a gateway for Vietnam’s products to penetrate the continent. He said he hopes that earnings from Vietnam’s garment and textile sector will surge in the near future.
According to Canaintex, once the Trans-pacific Partnership Agreement is approved, exports from Vietnam’s garment and textile sector will grow dramatically. Vietnam will expand its market to TPP members, especially the US, thanks to tax incentives. Vietnam is the second largest textile and garment exporter to the US market, meanwhile, Mexico ranks the sixth.
Canaintext delegates will visit 7 factories and a garment and textile industrial park in Hung Yen province.
