Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam hailed the contributions made by the Ministry in the previous term. He said issues related to labor productivity and unemployment among the young is a major focus for the Ministry and that these problems cannot be solved in a short time. Local authorities therefore need to work harder to create a favorable investment environment and improve the quality of vocational training.

Mr. Dam also asked sectors and localities to exert more effort so that more people can access preferential policies to revolutionary contributors. He hailed the Ministry of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs’ decision to replace the single-dimensional approach to reduce poverty with a multidimensional method and asked the Ministry to do more to ensure effective and sustainable poverty reduction.
