Modern weapons, technologies introduced at Vietnam International Defense Expo 2022
(VOVWORLD) - The 2-day Vietnam International Defense Expo 2022 opened in Hanoi on Thursday showcasing cutting-edge combat vehicles, technologies, systems, and equipment for air force, navy, army, and signal corps.
Major General Le Xuan Sang, Deputy Director of the Department of Propaganda and Training, said: “This is the first time the Vietnamese Ministry of Defense has organized such a large-scale expo. It highlights the achievements of the defense industry while introducing Vietnamese culture and people to international friends. With the experience gained in hosting this expo, we can host grander-scale events in the future.”
Vietnam's booths displayed products researched and manufactured by the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Public Security, and the Viettel Military Industry and Telecommunications Group.

Companies from 30 countries introduced a variety of modern weapons and the latest military technology. Bito Masaru from Japan, said: “We brought to this large-scale expo our defense industry products and radar equipment.”
The Vietnam International Defense Expo will be held every 2 years. The second exhibition will take place in 2024 on the occasion of the 80th anniversary of the Vietnam People's Army.
