(VOVworld) - A wooden boat carrying Middle Eastern migrants capsized off the Greek island of Farmakonisi Wednesday morning, killing at least eleven people, including five children.
The Coast Guard managed to rescue 26 passengers, but 13 are still missing. A Greek army helicopter was pressed into service along with a vessel from the European Union’s border agency Frontex to aid the search.
This is the second incident in two days involving boats carrying migrants to Greece.
