National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung

(VOVworld)- National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung left Hanoi on Monday for the 35th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly (AIPA 35) from September 15-20 in Vientiane, Laos.  The visit is being made at the invitation of Lao NA Chairwoman Zathotou Pani. Under the theme “Strengthening parliamentary cooperation within ASEAN Community”, the 35th ASEAN Inter-Parliamentary Assembly will discuss parliamentary cooperation in building a political and secure ASEAN Community and in solving common issues in the region. The Vietnamese delegation will attend all sessions of the Committees for Politics, Society and Economics. On this occasion, a conference of female parliamentarians of 10 ASEAN member countries will be held. The Vietnamese delegation is led by Truong Thi Mai, who is a member of the National Assembly’s Standing Committee and Head of Commission for Social Affairs.
