(VOVworld) - The National Assembly and Government are looking at suitable ways of speeding up the development of Vung Ang economic zone and other industrial and economic zones nationwide. NA Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung stated this today/Wednesday at a meeting with managers, engineers and workers at Vung Ang Economic Zone, in the central province of Ha Tinh.

The zone’s management board has proposed that the NA passes a law to build up and develop economic zones, and that the Government issues preferential mechanisms to encourage investment in hi-tech and clean technology industries. NA Chairman Hung asked the investors, management board and local authorities to be more active in overcoming any difficulties to speed up projects and to bring them into operation as soon as possible.
Located on the North-South traffic axis and the East-West Economic Corridor, the Vung Ang Economic Zone now accommodates 153 enterprises with a total registered capital of more than 16 billion USD.
