NA deputies discuss socio-economic and state budget issues
(VOVworld)-National Assembly deputies on Thursday discussed in group the implementation of socio economic development plan and state budget issues.

Most deputies agreed on the government’s comprehensive report on social economic development and its challenges. The report identified signals of economic recession as the GDP for the first quarter was 4%, which was lower that last year’s 5.57%. The National Assembly Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung called for initiatives to maintain the set target of up to 6.5% growth rate and to tackle prolonged complaints and denunciation cases. Deputy Le Van Lai from the central province of Quang Nam urged the government to offer business support packages: “The support package should focus on rural and farming as well as small and medium sized enterprises. Tighten monetary policy should be maintain to prioritize capital for production growth.”
Deputies also discussed economic restructuring proposal to ensure fair economic growth, low inflation, social welfare and development equality between regions.
