NA Law Committee debates revised Civil Code
(VOVworld) – The National Assembly’s Law Committee discussed the revised Civil Code during its 16th session on Thursday. The Drafting Committee said the revised Civil Code is the key law to regulate social relations based on the principles of freedom, voluntarism, equality, and self-responsibility among individuals, and protect the rights of individuals and organizations in civil affairs.
The adjustments cover the legal status and legal standards of conduct of equal entities in kinship and asset issues and the relations between the revised Civil Code, the Constitution, and other laws. The civil rights of all citizens are recognized, respected, protected, and guaranteed by the Constitution and law. Civil rights are limited by law only in cases of national defense and security, social morale, and community health.
