NA Standing Committee convenes 55th session
(VOVWORLD) - Lawmakers gathered in Hanoi on Tuesday to discuss next month’s National Assembly and People’s Council elections.

The current National Assembly Standing Committee’s 55th session also focused on adjusting administrative boundaries and establishing new administrative units in Hanoi, Thanh Hoa, Dong Nai and Tuyen Quang provinces.
“Urbanization must couple with the development of an urban economy. New-style rural development criteria in a commune which will be upgraded into a township should also be upgraded,” said NA Chairman Vuong Dinh Hue.
NA Secretary General and Chairman of the NA Office Bui Van Cuong said the first session of the next National Assembly will open on July 20 and end on August 8. High on the agenda will be personnel work.
