Vietnam, California have vast potential for cooperation, says NA Vice Chairman
(VOVWORLD) - The cooperative relationship between the Vietnamese National Assembly and the US Congress is an important component of overall bilateral ties, National Assembly Vice Chairman Nguyen Duc Hai said at a reception in Hanoi on Wednesday for California State Treasurer Fiona Ma and a delegation of California-based businesses.

Hai expressed a desire for their legislative bodies to further strengthen cooperation through dialogue mechanisms and policy exchanges at multiple levels, thus increasing understanding and trust and fostering friendship between them.
Vietnam and California have a vast potential for further cooperation, particularly in sci-tech and innovation, he said.
Ma vowed to promote friendly and effective cooperation with Vietnam in areas where California excels, such as green growth, climate change mitigation, sustainable development, and renewable and new energy.
