(VOVworld) - The National Assembly’s Party committee on Thursday conducted a vote of confidence on each of 57 members.
Subject to the vote were Vice Chairpersons who are not members of the Politburo or the Party Central Committee’s Secretariat, the Chairperson and Vice Chairpersons of the NA’s Ethnic Council, heads and deputy heads of NA committees, and heads of the NA Standing Committee’s institutes.
Chairman Nguyen Sinh Hung said the three levels of votes of confidence analyze performance, morality, and lifestyle. National Assembly Vice Chairman Uong Chu Luu received the highest number of votes of confidence, followed by Vice Chairman Huynh Ngoc Son and Head of the National Assembly’s Committee for Social Affairs Truong Thi Mai.
This is the first time the legislature’s Party committee has conducted votes of confidence. The votes will be conducted regularly in the third year of the committee’s tenure.
