(VOVworld) – The National Assembly voted to approve the revised Laws on Environmental Protection and Customs on Monday.

The deputies debated the revised Law on Enforcement of Civil Judgments and the revised Law on Investment. At the discussion of the revised Law on Investment, deputies said the amendments and supplements would increase transparency, attraction, and the capacity of the investment environment and create a breakthrough in reforming investment procedures and state management.

Some deputies said the facile issuance of investment licenses had broken the sectors’ development planning, causing a serious impact on the economy. Dang Thuan Phong, a deputy from Ben Tre province, said: “We agree with the decentralized mechanism in issuing investment licenses under Article 44 of the revised law. In order to handle mass investment, it’s important to identify the authorization of the sectors and require additional assessment reports before issuing investment licenses for big projects which have inter-sectoral and inter-provincial influence.”
