(VOVWORLD) - On Thursday the National Assembly approved the appointment of Minister of Natural Resources and Environment Tran Hong Ha and Secretary of Hai Phong City Party Committee Tran Luu Quang as the two new Deputy Prime Ministers for the 2021-2026 tenure.

Before that, at the 2nd extraordinary meeting of the 15th National Assembly, lawmakers approved the dismissal of Deputy Prime Minister Pham Binh Minh and Deputy Prime Minister Vu Duc Dam.
On December 30, 2022, the Party Central Committee gave its opinions regarding Mr. Tran Hong Ha and Mr. Tran Luu Quang that the Politburo may recommend for the National Assembly to approve for the title of deputy prime minister for the 2021-2026 term.
